In the U.S., Americans mostly considered tacos as street food sold during festivals. 

Tacos then started becoming popular thanks to the children of first-generation immigrants retaining ties with their cultural heritage. While many restaurants sell Mexican tacos to Americans, nothing can compare with the success of Mexican-owned food trucks.

At Tacos El Cabrón To Go Food Truck, our mission is to bring authentic Mexican tacos to the United States. Selling tacos in a food truck adds to this authenticity, reflecting and honoring the origins of tacos as street food.

With our food truck as an anchor point, your adventures at Pacific Beach in San Diego will unfold like this. Start your day by fueling up with a Birria Taco, a beloved Mexican dish featuring tender, slow-cooked meat enveloped in a warm corn tortilla and served with a flavorful consommé for dipping. The rich, savory flavors provide the perfect kickstart to your day of beach exploration.

As the sun reaches its zenith and appetites stir, opt for a Carne Asada Taco that features thinly sliced, marinated steak grilled to juicy perfection and nestled in a soft tortilla, accompanied by fresh salsa, guacamole, and a squeeze of lime.

For those craving a lighter option, the Chicken Taco offers a delightful alternative. Pieces of grilled or shredded chicken, seasoned with a blend of spices and nestled in a warm tortilla, provide a flavorful and satisfying bite. Topped with crisp lettuce, diced tomatoes, and tangy salsa, this taco is a refreshing choice for a sunny day at the beach.

One of the most rewarding aspects of operating a food truck is that it allows us to engage directly with our customers in a more personal setting. Unlike dining in a restaurant, where interactions may be brief, the casual atmosphere of a food truck encourages conversation and connection. We love nothing more than chatting with our customers as we prepare their meals, learning about their preferences, sharing stories, and forging genuine connections that go beyond just food.

 

The mobility of our food truck allows us to connect with communities in San Diego that we may not have otherwise reached. By expanding our restaurant with a food truck, we have the opportunity to introduce our Mexican cuisine to a wider range of people, spreading joy and deliciousness wherever we go.

 

Here’s a brief overview of our options. 

Taco Truck Rental

This package available for parties with a minimum of 50 guests includes:

  • Three Tacos per Person with Rice and Beans: The options for the tacos include carne asada, pollo, adobada, and birria.
  • Truck Rental: You can have the truck for two hours. Need additional hours? No problem! You can extend the rental for $100 per hour.

 

Guests can witness the artistry of taco preparation firsthand as the chefs craft delectable tacos right before their eyes.

Live Cook with Tent

This package is ideal for events that have a minimum of 50 guests. Here’s a brief overview:

  • Three Tacos per Person with Rice and Beans: Same as with the Taco Truck Rental package, the options for the tacos include carne asada, pollo, adobada, and birria.
  • Live Cook with a Tent: Your guests can witness the artistry of taco preparation firsthand as the chef crafts delectable tacos right before their eyes. 

Drop off/Self-Serve

For a minimum of 20 guests, you could secure the following services:

  • Delivery
  • A choice of three proteins: steak, shrimp, chicken, adobada, birria

 

Want a broader choice of proteins? You can add them for $100 per option.  

 

For all three packages, add-on options include the following:

  • Chips and Guacamole
  • Quesadillas and Chips
  • Burrito Platter

There’s no need to worry about being turned away due to a fully booked dining room. Instead, you can simply stroll up to the truck, peruse the menu, and place your order.
